Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL)... I supposed they are the custodian of the city I live in. They beautify the city with greens. Light up the city with neons. They sweep the roads so the city looks clean. They tow un-license small businesses so they look organized. They also issue summonses for traffic offenses. Well... they have to make money somehow right? ;)
I have no qualm over DBKL generating income so they can be sustainable economically. Otherwise, they'll look like a fool managing a dull and dirty city like Kuala Lumpur.
However, in their pursuit of happiness issuing summonses they must be fair. They must not issue selective summonses. In all fairness... summon all vehicles committing traffic offences regardless whether their windscreen has a DBKL and/or PDRM stickers or not. Or if their vehicles have a crest indicating they are of a certain group of elites or not.
As in the picture above... the vehicle @ the far end didn't get a ticket!
And here's an update... few weeks after... a DBKL van with its personnel was spotted reversing after parking illegally on the opposite side of the road!
Can someone give them a ticket please...
