Barca Knocked Out!

The best beautiful football team has been knocked out!

Yes... FC Barcelona was beaten 2-3 on aggregate by Inter Milan in the Champions League semi final early this morning. Its painful to see them out. But thats football. Beautiful football doesn't guarantee a win. At the end of the day, tactical football prevails!

Ask Tele Santana and his 1982 Brazil World Cup team after they lost 2-3 to Italy.

So, its The Special One's platoon who will troop out of Bernabéu Stadium on May 22, 2010 against Bayern Munich.

All the best to both teams!

Is It That Bad???

Parking in KL has always been a challenged. Regardless where, we always find it a daunting task to get a parking bay for our vehicle. Double parking is common. Parking on a yellow line is not rare. Just name it. We have it all!

Perhaps Malaysians drivers felt that the open space parking charges are exorbitantly high. Perhaps they are just stingy lots. Perhaps they are just lazy to park their vehicles at the rightful parking area and walk a bit to their place of business. Perhaps they love to get parking tickets for their traffic offenses.

But one thing common is they pissed the well behaved drivers.

In any case, the picture I posted here is worrisome.... Yellow Line + Barriers = NO PARKING BY THE ROADSIDE

Do we have to embarrass ourselves this way? Emmm...

DBKL OH DBKL!

Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL)... I supposed they are the custodian of the city I live in. They beautify the city with greens. Light up the city with neons. They sweep the roads so the city looks clean. They tow un-license small businesses so they look organized. They also issue summonses for traffic offenses. Well... they have to make money somehow right? ;)

I have no qualm over DBKL generating income so they can be sustainable economically. Otherwise, they'll look like a fool managing a dull and dirty city like Kuala Lumpur.

However, in their pursuit of happiness issuing summonses they must be fair. They must not issue selective summonses. In all fairness... summon all vehicles committing traffic offences regardless whether their windscreen has a DBKL and/or PDRM stickers or not. Or if their vehicles have a crest indicating they are of a certain group of elites or not.

As in the picture above... the vehicle @ the far end didn't get a ticket!

And here's an update... few weeks after... a DBKL van with its personnel was spotted reversing after parking illegally on the opposite side of the road!

Can someone give them a ticket please...

Orange Juice

Its hard to find a really refreshing orange juice. The whole combo is just perfect! Masam dia... manis dia... chill dia... semua la!

Recently I had one of the best (if not D BEST) orange juice @ Staffield Golf Club. Man... it was so refreshing. Complete segalanya!

Now the regular Sunkist orange juice I bought taste 2nd best... Or is it because of the Carlsberg Jug? Hahaha...

Nevertheless... go & try it out!

Tong Sampah Sebelah Jer... :(

Dont know la why... but somehow people are messed up. Tong sampah depan mata pun tak reti2 nak guna dengan sebaiknya. Kot la kata tak civilized. I dont think so. But why la... buang la sampah tu dalam tong sampah yang telah disediakan. Bingai betul la!

Where did it go wrong? Emmmmmm...

Ouchhh!

Barca stunned by impressive Inter.

That was the news highlight I got this morning on my Blackberry. Painful? A bit. If they had not scored a goal @ San Siro, it will be very painful. The 1 goal is crucial when they entertain Inter @ Camp Nou next week.

Daunting trip for Inter next week and daunting task for Barca @ home in Camp Nou.

Guys, lets get them and make d short trip to Santiago Bernabéu on May 22, 2010!

Why La...???

Kenapa la Malaysians macam ni perangai mereka. 2 parking lots untuk 5 bikes??? Man! This is too much...

Just moments before i snapped the above pic, a car was parking horizontally across an empty parking bay. Similar to the above pic but without the motorcycles. And not far away was this car double parking on the roadside. It causes difficulty for the driver of the vehicle parked rightfully to maneuver the vehicle out of the parking bay (pic below)

It is as if they cant park their vehicle properly. Or they paid for their license although they failed the parking test. Or they are just assholes! Yeah... I think they are just assholes!

Plus, the place where they stick the bill is high above normal Malaysians height. I wonder how they go to the extend to get maximum exposure for their services.

Talk about ambush marketing and maximizing opportunity... These guys know best how to ;)

The Future Looking Brighter...

The recently concluded Asian Badminton Championship (ABC) in New Delhi gave Malaysian badminton a little hope for the future. Malaysian badminton history was created yesterday when youngsters Chan Peng Soon-Goh Liu Ying became the country’s first ever mixed doubles champions in a top–flight international tournament. Read

As far as I can remember, Malaysia never had a formidable mixed doubles pair in badminton. We are always "the ayam" in mixed team event ie. Sudirman Cup. In international tournament, our mixed pairs were often thrashed by the opponents. I hope this will be the beginning to a glorious future for Malaysian badminton.

Lets begin with the Thomas and Uber Cup Finals in May...

Gila Luk!

As mentioned in my previous posting, something crazy is about to happen... IT HAPPENED! It wasn't just two malauns who got snooked, a third malaun came over to join the group in Jakarta. Man! How crazy can you guys be...

This wasn't a planned trip... I have to clarify. It started last Friday when I came back to work and was told we are heading KUL-CGK for a little work there.

Over the weekend, one guy suggested or invited (whichever way you wanna put it ;)) the golfing buddies for a round of golf game in Melaka on Wednesday. Knowing very well I can't make it, I just bait them with CGK instead. Well... no one picks up the invitation tho.

Perhaps all are still tired from golfing under the hot blazing sun in PKU . Noted. No worries. July plan is still in place. C u then. Life goes on...

All of a sudden, on Monday, 2 guys confirmed they are coming on a Tuesday flight and a third one is now under pressured . Really under pressured! Hehehehe...

What started out as a regular "I know u r pulling my legs and r pranking on me" stuff, turns out to be real now. Its even more real when Cipret actually made it to CGK on Wednesday evening. Plus... not to forget... we extended our stay by a day!

The golf wasn't that good tho. But the company was awesome! Thanks guys! Can't complain... 4 "getting older" guys having fun like small kids. Imagine that....

GILA LUK!

We'll see what happens once they are beyond the checkpoint... Interesting ;)

Service

Do we have a service culture in Malaysia? I don't need to ponder hard and long. The answer is plain and simple. NO!

Sometimes I found it hard to believe Malaysians cant seem to even provide a service with a smile. Worst is if they are wearing one huge "SERVICE WITH A SMILE' button. Waitressing is definitely a no go as far as servicing the guest(s) is concern. A BIG NAME telco cant even resolve customer's technical issue for 3 weeks +++ and yet failed to deliver the promised technician the past weeks. Damn!!! The cab drivers??? Emmmm... I wrest my case! The list is just too long to go on bitching about it.

I think it all begins with loving your job and being passionate about it. If one has both, the smile will naturally reflects on his/her face. The service will be provided without being forced. Sadly, that's not available here in this BOLEHLAND :(

I wonder why...

Sunny Sunday Sports

Had an overdose sleep. Nevertheless, it was a good one. Woke up at 3am just in time to watch Barca beat Real @ Bernabéu in the 'El Clásico'. How can u not love Braca's play and Messi... Awesome combo! In between, switch to The Masters to witness Tiger's up and down and Mickelson's double eagle. 4 shots behind, 1 round to go...?

Next is Phillies in Houston. Go Fightin Phils!

April 6-8, 2010 - Pekanbaru

Finally, the long awaited trip to Pekanbaru (PKU) is completed! Boy... it was an extremely hot 2 days of golfing @ Labersa Golf Resort. Demi semangat kesukanan yang amat tinggi, bapak-bapak sekelian telah berjaya menamatkan 27 holes in 2 days. Great achievement guys!

By and large, it was another fun trip. We had loads of laughter. We had Par 3 OB... ON BODO... Back spin H2O + wall... we had "was ON"... after you, YOU... plus YB melawat kawasan YB? ;) Man! it was really fun.

The Ultimate Fun was when ML had a surprised! Kutip IDR from the floor tu... Hahahaha.

In the end, Cipret was crowned the Sumatera Champion. He deserved it! Mandrem kot??? hehehe

PKU is our 1st Indon PGA Tour stop for 2010. Plans are been made for the next leg. Surabaya perhaps? Bandung? Jogja? Jakarta again? Well guys... DECIDE FAST! hehehe

The Boyz and Golf

Well... its another golf trip with the boyz tomorrow morning. This time to a new destination ie. Pekanbaru.

Unfamiliar place and unfamiliar course for them. Advantage me? Well... golf is always an unusual game. Man vs Nature... try that out!

We'll see what happens next couple of days ;). More news and certainly more pics coming along. C ya!

Demise of a friend... Al Fatihah

I never thought that I'm going to start blogging again with the sad news of the demise of my childhood friend Mior Ahmad Fuad Mior Badri aka Din Beramboi. Read

Mior, as I've always known him is such a jovial and fun person to be with. Full of energy. He's always been talented to go far in showbiz.

I learned to play guitar with him when we were growing up. We used to stick together for "Rukun Tertangga" duty those days. Lepaking at our secret hideout overlooking KL skyline and smoking ciggy at night. And the list of fun activities we did together is longggggg.

Now he's gone. Back to his Almighty. The second of my childhood friends who have gone at a young age. Arwah Rahman left us much earlier... 11 years ago. And I'm gonna miss both of them. Really miss them!

Al Fatihah guys... Semoga roh kalian di tempatkan bersama mereka yang beriman dan beramal soleh. Amin
