Ramadhan: Masjid Becomes A Playground For Kids

Syukran... I had the privilege to perform my prayers in this holy month of Ramadhan at various masjids. Alhamdulillah.

However, I observed that a lot of masjid had become a 'playground' for children and the noises they made had become so unbearable that it's disturbing the focus and concentration of the jemaah performing their prayers. At least I do!

The sad thing I noticed is that parents who brought along their kids for isyak and tarawikh solats do nothing to encourage their children to pray along with them. Instead, the kids were left in d masjid's praying area to run around, play bottle caps, tic-tac-toe etc and making unbearable noises along the way.

Some masjid or mussolah committee members also did nothing to remind parents who brought along their children to ensure their children do not make noise. Pretty sad and pathetic.

What is the point of bringing your children to d masjid for prayers if you fail to put them in order with the manners required in masjid?
