Sunday March 13, 2011... Dad turns 77

Just like when we did for Mom when she turned 75 on January 20, 2011... 3 generations of Zabri Adil's family were there. It was sentimental for them I guess.

The Batak Band was there to sing him his favorite "Ayam Den Lapek" song ;)

Dad told my girls on the way home that night, it was his 1st ever birthday party. EVER!!!

I just hope we have been good children to them... Love u both mom & dad!

Alahai Makcik...

Kejadian lucu yang terjadi beberapa malam lalu...

While driving along the main road suddenly a van was reversing from a junction straight into the longkang! 20 seconds away, I was telling my family "tengok tu... van tu reverse. terus je. bukan dia kira ada kereta ke tidak." Tetiba... kabooom! into d drain ;) And as we were passing by the van, we saw it was "driverless" and my daughter said "eh eh... tak da driver. van hantu" and on the left side we saw a lady and her daughter running towards the van hoping to stop it from going into the drain.

Ugh ugh... to late makcik!

Kasihan makcik...

Lesson for us...

18 days of people's power in Egypt brought down a President who has been there for 30 years.

I gotta salute the new generation of Egyptians. They were really ONE and awesome all the way.

They reminded me of the Philippines ESDA in 1986. The Pinoys restored democracy after a 20 years of iron fist rule by Ferdinand Marcos.

As the new dawn begins for the Egyptians, I wish for government leaders who have been there for too long to take a serious look at what's happening to the history of mankind.

Dont overstay!

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011

Goodbye 2010!

Ending a year that seems so lightning fast is indeed full of mixed feelings. However, what's past is past and lets move forward.

As the new year sink in, some will continue having their resolutions albeit from previous years or new ones. Some just don't bother to have any anymore. To some its just another day of the Gregorian calendar year.

For the 3rd group, life goes on for them - new year or not. Even if they have to earn a living by selling items right from the drain. Pathetic? Nope. Sad? Perhaps. But life must go on for them...

Just a reminder...
